The Internship Program at the Honorary Consulate of Malaysia in Bulgaria was launched in 2021. Over the past years, interns at the Consulate have included students from various universities and majors such as Accounting, Law, International Relations, Marketing, and Business Administration, as well as many students specializing in South, East, and Southeast Asia. Prior knowledge related to the Asian region is not required to begin an internship at the Consulate.

The internship consists of 180 working hours, which must be completed within two months. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products is mandatory. We offer an opportunity for anyone interested to gain professional experience in an office environment and to acquire insights into the Southeast Asian region.

Through their work at the Consulate, interns can develop organizational and communication skills, as well as learn how to handle official documentation. There are also opportunities for communication with other institutions, such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria and the Embassy of Malaysia in Bucharest, Romania. During their internship, students will also engage in activities related to renewable energy production and the real estate sector.
